This is another great recipe.

BUTTER CAKE(got this from Kitchen Capers)

250gm butter
220gm castor sugar
6 large eggs
1tsp    vanilla essence
300gm self-raising flour(sifted)
1/2cup evaporated milk(3/4cup if you want it moistier)

1. Preheat oven to 180C.
2. Beat butter and sugar til white and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time and mix well. Then add in vanilla essence and milk and mix well.
3. Lastly,fold in sifted flour and mix well. Pour into a greased and lined cake tin and bake for 50-60mins. Insert a skewer to test if it's done.

For Marble cake,just replace 30gm of self-raising flour with cocoa powder. When butter mixture is done,divide into 2 and add cocoa into one part.

For Coffee Butter cake,dissolve 2 tbsps instant coffee with 2 tbsps hot water and add into mixture.
